PHASE #4 - Most important features to look for
- Check VIN Model year and be aware that sometimes the RV manufacturer and the chassis manufacture may have different years. (Not uncommon)
- During test drive, make sure you check for wind noise. You should be able to talk normal and not have to yell while up front.
- Check all seals and inside and under all compartments. If separating of materials is occurring or if you see “sweating” of any kind, this needs to be fixed.
- If inspection requires repairs, try to get an estimate on costs and work out a compromise with the seller.
- Do not leave the dealership if work needs to be performed. Require that it all must be completed BEFORE you leave.
- Always check underneath the RV for rust. Major Rust must be fixed before you buy.
