RV Buying Course

PHASE #4 - Most important features to look for

  1. Check VIN Model year and be aware that sometimes the RV manufacturer and the chassis manufacture may have different years. (Not uncommon)
  2. During test drive, make sure you check for wind noise. You should be able to talk normal and not have to yell while up front.
  3. Check all seals and inside and under all compartments. If separating of materials is occurring or if you see “sweating” of any kind, this needs to be fixed.
  4. If inspection requires repairs, try to get an estimate on costs and work out a compromise with the seller.
  5. Do not leave the dealership if work needs to be performed. Require that it all must be completed BEFORE you leave.
  6. Always check underneath the RV for rust. Major Rust must be fixed before you buy.
