PHASE #6 - Warranties that you do/or don't need.
- Before you drive off, have all important contact info and make sure you have your insurance handled. Once you drive off, any issues are no longer the sellers problem. Make sure you have enough insurance! Consider “under insured” or “gap” insurance.
- Find groups or associations that can help you as you embark on your journey. Be sure you have Roadside insurance of some kind and it’s best if the seller pays for some or all of it.
- Have storage considerations in order before you go on your first trip so you know where you will store it when you get back.
- Find out the best ways to wash and clean your RV by the manufacturer specifications and recommendations.
- Make sure you contact the owners relations department of the RV manufacturer directly to ensure that all warranties have been registered and for them to document you as the owner. Also use them often whenever you need it. They are there for you!
- Be sure that any and all GPS has the card! These are expensive to replace and have a tendency to sprout wings and fly off.
- Document your travels and make picture books out of your trips! You’ll be glad you did.
- Get out there and RV. Make the most of every opportunity and get involved with RV associations. Have fun!
