RV Buying Course

PHASE #5 - #1 things to avoid

  1. Use the best financing option. This sometimes can be through the dealer.
  2. Resist extended warranties most or all of the time and especially for new RV’s. Dealers make a significant amount of money selling these and especially financing them. There are 3rd party sellers out there that are far less expensive and you can buy after the sale.
  3. Review all contracts carefully and know your state’s laws that protect you as a consumer. Don’t be afraid to ask your attorney to review before signing.
  4. Make sure everything agreed upon is in writing even if only in a email. If its not in writing, it’s not enforceable.
  5. Do not make an emotional buying decision and decide on a full stomach! Do not be pressured. Good things come to those that are patient.
  6. Discuss your decision with someone you love and trust before buying. Do not be Impulsive. Sleep on it (and pray on it) before buying. This will always work out best for you!
  7. Make sure there’s no prepayment penalty to pay off loan early.
  8. Some dealers will offer additional savings if you finance through them. If you decide to do this, make sure you can pay off without being required to pay all interest or penalty.
